Chhatra League Attacks CU Protesters at Midnight

Chittagong, 14 July 2024 – Allegations of attack on Quota Reform Protester students at Chittagong University (CU) at midnight are being made against the leaders and workers of the branch Chhatra League. At that time, the attackers made some bets among the protesting students.

Today Sunday (July 14), around 11:00 p.m., protesting the Prime Minister’s comments on quotas, the protesting students started protesting with the slogans “We wanted validity, that made us invalid,” and “Who are you? Who am I? Razakar, Razakar”. Later, the Chhatra League ambushed the agitators from behind on the Katapahar road of the campus.

Meanwhile, at 11:30 pm, the protesting students were marching from Zero Point towards Shaheed Minar through Kata Pahar Road, shouting, “Who is the Razakar?” Chhatra League activists fired a few bets with sticks among the protesting students.

At that time, a group of agitating students dispersed during the attack. In this regard, some people said that the BCL workers chased them with sticks and threw cocktails from behind while they were protesting.
