Sajid Sami Chowdhury Chittagong, November 2, 2023 — Tragedy struck the entertainment industry today as beloved small screen actress Humaira Himu was found dead at Bangladesh Medical College in Uttara, a district in the capital.

The shocking incident occurred on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Mr. Ahsan Habib Nasim, the president of Abhinay Shilpi Sangha, confirmed the distressing news. According to Mr. Nasim, when Humaira Himu was rushed to a hospital in Uttara, medical professionals pronounced her as “brought dead.” Furthermore, it was revealed that Humu’s boyfriend has gone missing, and her mobile phone is also unaccounted for. Although initial reports suggest that Humaira Himu may have taken her own life, Ahsan Habib Nasim emphasized that it is too early to definitively determine whether this was a case of suicide or a potential homicide.

The actress was taken to the hospital in the afternoon by her younger sister and boyfriend, and her demise was officially declared by a medical practitioner. Alarmingly, it was when the on-duty doctor attempted to contact the authorities that Humu’s boyfriend absconded with her phone. Humaira Himu, born on November 23, 1985, in Lakshmipur district, had a remarkable journey in the entertainment industry.

She completed her Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) at Ispahani College and obtained her Master’s degree from Eden Women’s College. Her introduction to the world of theater began with stage plays, and she notably performed with the theater group ‘French.’ In 2006, she made her television drama debut with ‘Chayabeethi’ and went on to star in the TV serial ‘PI (Private Investigator)’ the same year.

Throughout her career, she graced the small screen with her presence in several popular dramas, including ‘Bari Bari Sari Sari,’ ‘Housefull,’ and ‘Gulshan Avenue.’ Notably, Humaira Himu expanded her repertoire to include film, starting her cinematic journey in 2011 with a role in the movie ‘Amar Bandhu Rashed.’ Her work both on the silver screen and small screen had earned her a special place in the hearts of her fans and colleagues.
